SELLER PROCESS

Create Membership Account and Log In

  • There is no charge to create a Membership Account and Log In
  • A User Number (Paddle Number) will automatically be assigned
    • The User Number will be displayed in the User Account Section, in your posted Auction History Emails and normally on all Platform Communications
    • It is used in place of your Name / User Name on public postings to protect your privacy
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is offered as an option, providing additional security measures to protect Bidder and Seller Accounts
    • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security system that requires Two separate, distinct forms of identification in order to access your account
    • The first Factor is your password and the second is an email and/or text with a code sent to you to enter as confirmation
A Payment Method with a valid credit card on file is required to Submit Listings as a Seller (only, if and when a Listing is Accepted) or to Bid on Listings as a Bidder
  • Add a Payment Method (Must be created with a valid credit card with sufficient available credit for any potential charges as detailed herein)
  • Exclusive contracts with STRIPE for secure payment processing
  • Exclusive Does Not retain payment data internally

There is no charge to Create A Listing and submit for review. You will only be charged if your Listing is accepted and you choose a Listing Program with associated fees. Initial Listing information should be detailed enough to provide an overview of the Listing including:
  • Pertinent Listing Details
  • Title/Ownership Status
  • 1 – 5 High Quality Photos showing exterior, interior and other Listing details as appropriate
Upon receipt of your initial Listing submission, Exclusive Auctions will be in contact with you, normally within Seventy-Two (72) hours of initial Listing submission, regarding your Listing. Upon Listing acceptance, we will assist you in completing your Listing and preparing it to go Live on the Platform including:

    • D = Fair (Listing has significant flaws, wear & tear, may have operational issues, may need maintenance & repairs, etc. i.e. “Project”)
    • F = Poor (Listing is incomplete, non-operational and/or severely compromised i.e. “Parts / Donor”)

    • Listing review process is normally completed within Seventy-Two (72) hours of initial Listing submission
    • If Listing is accepted, you will be sent an email with an upload link and request for additional information, photos and videos (Photo Pro professional photography services are available)
Listing has been accepted, now it’s time to complete the Listing and select your plans and options. The Exclusive Auctions staff will work with you to complete the Listing to your satisfaction and guide you in preparing your Listing for the best presentation on the Platform. (* required fields)

  • FREE CARFAX Reports (If Available for the Listing) 
    • CARFAX Reports provide Confidence, Transparency and Reassurance to potential Buyers

    • If Seller does not possess a current CARFAX, Exclusive will obtain a CARFAX Report for the Listing, if available (normally available for most Street Vehicles from model year 1981 or later)
    • “N/A” is the default entry if no CARFAX Report is available (Ex: Race Cars, Non-Vehicle Listings, etc.)
  • Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) Reports * (If Available for the Listing)
    • PPI Reports provide Confidence, Transparency and Reassurance to potential Buyers
    • Seller has three options: (Buyer To Provide is the default entry)
      • Buyer To Provide (If Buyer desires PPI, Buyer will obtain PPI within Seven (7) days or other agreed upon time-frame, as agreed between Buyer and Seller, of notification to Buyer of Winning Bidder status)
      • Seller To Provide (Seller will obtain PPI within Seven (7) days or other agreed upon time-frame, as agreed between Buyer and Seller, of notification to Seller of Winning Bidder status)
      • Seller Attached (Seller attaches current Seller obtained PPI)
    • Buyer may request and Seller may agree to, an In-Person Inspection of the Listing by Buyer and/or Buyer’s Agent prior to consummation of the sale
    • If Seller has a current PPI Report, it may uploaded with the Listing
    • If Seller does not possess a current PPI Report, Exclusive may be able to help Seller obtain a PPI Report through our Partner Network
    • PPI Reports are not required but are highly recommended to enhance the likelihood of a successful sales outcome

Communication Management (All Communication between Bidders & Sellers is Managed & Monitored through the Exclusive Auctions Platform)

  • Bidder may submit questions to Seller through the Exclusive Auctions Platform
  • Seller has Seventy-Two (72) Hours to respond to Bidder questions
  • Bidder may submit Offers to Seller for Listings in Buy Now / Make Offer status through the Exclusive Auctions Platform
  • Seller has Seventy-Two (72) Hours to:
    • Accept Bidder Offer
    • Counter Bidder Offer
    • Decline Bidder Offer

Facilitation Services are offered by Exclusive to help facilitate and complete a smooth Sale/Purchase transaction between Buyer and Seller

During the Live Auction Periods and through Buy Now / Make Offer:
  • A Bid that meets or exceeds the Reserve Price set by the Seller or any Bid placed in a No-Reserve Auction, received during the Live Auction Period, will automatically win the Listing at Auction conclusion and Seller must follow through with the sale and deliver the Listing to the winning Bidder
  • A Bid that meets or exceeds the Buy Now Price set by the Seller, placed through Buy Now / Make Offer, will automatically win the Listing immediately upon successfully placing said Offer through the Platform and Seller must follow through with the sale and deliver the Listing to the winning Bidder
  • An Offer that is accepted by the Seller, placed through Buy Now / Make Offer, will automatically win the Listing upon Seller acceptance of said Offer and Seller must follow through with the sale and deliver the Listing to the winning Bidder
Sellers Premium (if Seller selected Sellers Premium or Split Fees for Sales Success Fee Option) will be charged to the credit card on file of Seller immediately at the close of the Auction or accepted Offer by Seller
  • Sales Success Fee Structure (Applicable Sales Success Fee Option & Percentage for the Specific Listing is shown on the Listing Page)
  • Examples: (Assumes Sales Success Fee is set to 5%)
  • Sellers Premium Example: If the winning Bid on a Listing was $40,000, a charge of $2,000 (5% of winning Bid Amount if Seller selected Sellers Premium for Sales Success Fee Option) will be placed on Seller’s credit card on file
  • Split Fees Example: If the winning Bid on a Listing was $40,000, a charge of $1,000 (2.5% of wining Bid Amount if Seller selected Split Fees for Sales Success Fee Option) will be placed on Seller’s credit card on file
    • A credit hold of $1,000 (2.5% of winning Bid Amount plus fees) will be placed on Seller’s credit card on file to cover Seller’s responsibility in case of Seller’s failure to complete the transaction per the Terms & Conditions | Seller Agreement | Buyer Agreement of the Platform, including the “How It Works” Section, Process & FAQ Pages and “Facilitation Services” Pages contained within the Website Platform set forth herein
    • Any credit holds will be released upon successful completion of the transaction
  • Buyers Premium Example: If the winning Bid on a Listing was $40,000, there will be no charge (Seller selected Sellers Premium for Sales Success Fee Option) placed on Seller’s credit card on file
    • A credit hold of $2,000 (5% of winning Bid Amount plus fees) will be placed on Seller’s credit card on file to cover Seller’s responsibility in case of Seller’s failure to complete the transaction per the Terms & Conditions | Seller Agreement | Buyer Agreement of the Platform, including the “How It Works” Section, Process & FAQ Pages and “Facilitation Services” Pages contained within the Website Platform set forth herein
    • Any credit holds will be released upon successful completion of the transaction
  • There are NO REFUNDS of Buyers Premium (if any paid by Buyer) or Sellers Premium (if any paid by Seller) 
    • See “Terms & Conditions” tab on the Auction Process & Pricing page in the “How It Works” section of the Website Platform for details regarding Exceptions

Winning Bidder is responsible to pay Seller directly or fund the Listing purchase (if Exclusive Escrow Services are utilized) in full within Seven (7) calendar days (or other agreed upon time-frame, as agreed between Buyer, Seller and Exclusive) of notification of Winning Bidder status

If Exclusive Escrow Services are utilized: (Protecting Buyer’s & Seller’s financial interests, with funds held in a Secure Escrow Account until all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed)

Communication Management (All Communication between Bidders & Sellers is Monitored & Managed through the Exclusive Auctions Platform)

Facilitation Services are offered by Exclusive to help facilitate and complete a smooth Sale/Purchase transaction between Buyer and Seller
